Business Development Representative – Wind Power

We are currently looking for a Business Development Representative to join our Wind Power Generator team. Business Development Representative will seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers and ultimately will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth. 

**Only candidates currently ready to travel to the US (with a Canadian passport, entitled to the US Visa Waiver Program or a valid U.S. travel visa) are being considered for this position.

Qualifications:

  • Primary focus is to expand the company’s market share in North America’s Wind Power Generator / Renewable Energy markets.
  • Conduct research to identify potential clients
  • Daily usage of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including but not limited to tracking customer correspondence, prospecting, suspecting, following up, and closing
  • Respond to RFQs and create quotes in quoting system
  • Qualify leads from CRM and Marketing Teams
  • Build key customer relationships with new and existing client
  • Set sales targets and provide sales support
  • Contacting prospective and current clients
  • Cold-call within a defined market or geographic area to ensure continual opportunities for business growth
  • Handle client objections by clarifying information, emphasizing benefits, and working through differences to a positive conclusion
  • Staying up to date with new services/products and plans
  • Assigning the appropriate services/products to clients
  • Work with technical staff and colleagues to meet customer needs
  • Presenting information to clients
  • Participating in sales meetings
  • Maintaining customer info and records
  • Setting up meetings for clients and executives
  • Reporting to the business development management & submit daily/weekly progress reports, ensuring the accuracy of the date

Qualification Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative
  • Experience within the sales/marketing field
  • At least 3-5 years of business development experience, preferably in Power Generation Industry, Specifically Renewable Energy.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, marketing, supply chain management fields
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude is required
  • Knowledge of the Generators industry is an asset
  • Excellent organizational, strategic, planning, and implementation skills
  • Ability to create realistic schedules and meet deadlines under stress and interruptions
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, and facts
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
  • Ability to respond appropriately in high-pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanour
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
